Using WinSCP

You will need WinSCP to transfer files, photos, and other things on and off your iPhone

First of all download it here

Now install it and after choosing recommended, it asks which type of style
that you would like to use, I choose Explorer like, for this guide I am showing
you explorer like. But you can still pick the other style

Next open up WinSCP it should have a login screen with hostname, port,
username etc.

For the Hostname go to your iphone/touch, under settings touch on wifi
and touch the blue arrow on the wifi connection you are currently connected to. Look down there should be IP Address, take those numbers and type them
in the Hostname.

Port does not need to be messed with.

As for Username type in "root" (without quotations)
And for the Password type in alpine (no caps no nothing)

Do not worry about private key file, next make sure you select SFTP
(for some people SFTP does not work so select scp if sftp did not work)

Type all that in,

Then click login, this will take about 30-35 seconds to offically login
in the middle a message will appear say something about the connection
DO NOT TOUCH IT OR IT WILL ABORT THE CONNECTION
JUST LEAVE IT, it will automatically connect and show you this:

Now you are connected to your iphone, USing other guides we have posted
You can upload NES, Screenshots, and more...

hi, i've successfully download the WinRAR and WinSCP.
BUT when i tried to log in to the WinSCP (using Explorer) following the steps u've given above (tried both SFTP and SCP), the message error shown :
Network error. Connection timed out/refused.

Do i need to purchase the WinRAR as prompted when opening the program?

Please help. Thank you.

you have to install BSD Subsystem and open SSH on your iPhone/iTOuch, they are both in the installer under the system category install them both then the connection should work
if you continue having problems just ask

I am having the same error, However i am unable to download BSD sub system as i am having the error
"package download failed" error when trying to download in the installer on the itouch.

Please help, Thanks

Other people were having problems with that earlier we have a tutorial that you can follow along with using winSCP here

my iphone isnt connected to any availiable wireless networks, so there isnt an ip address displayed ... only when i go into setting does it give an address of : 00:1C:B3:4C:04 .... etc ... and it wont connect using this address it says host not found !

so how am i supposed to connect to it ???

any help please
